My Hayward sand filter sucking any water at all
Why isn’t my Hayward sand filter sucking any water at all? This started when I replaced the cracked housing which is attached to the motor. After I put the new one on there is no water being filtered. Because no water is being sucked from the pool.

Make sure that you are full primed to the pump. I have a Hayward model myself and they are usually pretty reliable. You can message me at jimbonks55@yahoo.com for any questions.

Clear or replace it.
Sounds like you could have air in the pump.
It more than likely isn’t the sand filter, it’s the pump itself. Sounds to me like it’s either air bound, or it needs to be primed.
you may have a leaks water or air come in trough the water line from the skimmer to the pump to check for leaks use your waterhose with a ruber presure avaiable from home depot look where the water leaks, pump wont work fully if you have a leaks water or air comming in,good luck on your repair.
