Kreepy Krauly | Swimming Pool Automatic Cleaner

Just bought a house with a pool. Got everything under control except for the “Kreepy Krauly” in the pool. I can get it to work, however, 1.) It sometimes won’t stay suctioned flat on the pool surface. The back end will start to lift up. Is that normal? 2.) It will usually work for 5-10 minutes and then just stop dead. I make sure the filter is completely clean. Why would it just stop? 3.) It seems like it is very repetitive. It sometimes just goes over the same area it already cleaned. Isn’t it suppose to be “random” and clean the pool in its entirety? I don’t want to have to fork out for some pool guy to come out and really want to try and do this pool thing on my own. Any help would be appreciated!!

Intex Filter Pump
It features a 120 volt AC pump with safety certifications and listings by UL and CSA. It is recommended for Intex 24′ Easy Set, Intex Filter Pump, Frame Set pools, Ellipse Oval pools, Rectangular Frame pools and similar sized pools from other manufacturers. Hosing is 1.5″ ID, inside diameter. Hardware stores will carry plumbing adapters that will allow you to use this pump with pools that have hook-ups with a larger or smaller inside diameter. Installation is very easy – just hook-up the hoses and plug the pump into a 110 to 120 volt outlet. The pump is double insulated for safety and long life. Pump features an air release valve for air trapped inside the filter chamber. Pump has a sediment flush valve at the bottom of the filter chamber for easier maintenance.
