Part 1 Intex Pool With 200lbs Pentair Sand Filter At Install
Intex 18′ X 4′ Pool and the brown water from a well with a high iron content. I wanted to make a video to let others know what I have done to clear the water up. I should also mention that the water was what others called “poop soup” meaning it looked like mud water. I have added Metal Out, Clarifier, Shock, PH up, PH down & I was about to give up on this pool, until I found a used Pentair Sand Filter for 0.00 on Craigslist. My wife and I plan on upgrading next year to a 24′ above ground pool so this filter will be used then also. I realize that this filter is way overkill, but it was a last ditch effort to keep this pool and it seems to be working. Hope this helps others that may want to give up on this pool and it’s cheap filter which is worthless.

Pool filter noise
I purchased a house in November that came with a 20 x 40 in ground pool. Everything passed with the pool during the house/pool inspection. So we had a pool company open our pool last week and I noticed when I got home, i heard a motor running which I assumed was the pool filter. I found it a bit loud, but figured if it passed inspection and it was working just fine I left it alone.
So while walking my dog, I noticed several other neighbors that have an inground pool like mine and you cannot hear their filter from the street. Whereas you can hear my pool filter running from the front of the house. I just wanted feedback from others out there who have a pool filter if this is normal. I have a Hayward S244T sand filter. Thanks.
