Above Ground Pool Vacuum PSI drops

Air pump to demonstrate vacuum

Above Ground Pool Vacuum PSI drops from 12 PSI to 3 PSI and isn’t picking up anything in pool.

I have a 24′ round above ground pool. This is 5th summer. Pump and filter are new and on 2nd season. Winterized everything well. New hoses and secure connections with no leaks. Took apart and put new sand in filter last summer.
Tried 2 different vacuum hoses – same problem. Do I need new vacuum head? Any recommendations?

I’ve shocked it 4 times with combinations sock and algicide and I think I’ve pretty much got all of the algee killed, but the water is still extremely clowdy, and doesn’t seem to be clearing up even though the pH and clorine levels are right.

We have not yet replaced the sand in the filter and I haven’t added any type of water clarifier.
