Above ground pool sand filter spitting dirty water back in and filter problems? Hi there I’m having a pain problem with my above ground sand filter its spiting out waste back in the pool

When its in filter mode it spits out a white bubbly from the jet and backwash (same time) and forms at the top

I believe that its a problem with the spring inside the handle part doesn’t lock in the proper channel

I’ve tried turning off pump before changing i opened it all seems fine please help me if you have experience in fixing this

this started happening when i ran it in backwash mode the and put it back into filter mode I’ve been trying for about 2 days to fix it but nothing just need help urgently thanks
